Holidays

I've been on holidays lately so i haven't been doing any of my makeup things. Everyone deserves a break right?
But I need to get back on track with it all before my fashion uni term goes back (or else it might not get started at all!).
I think I will get some youtube tutorials loaded up and just do them one at a time for some practice. Practice always helps with any skill (duh) but doing my own makeup isn't quite the same as doing someone else's.
My mum and sister are visiting from tomorrow for a week so maybe I can rope them into sitting for me :D

Some Practice

My friend has been kind enough to lend me her face to practice on.

Here's the before and after photos:

I used colour correction and concealer to disguise the dark circles under her eyes and then did eye flicks in purple.

Here's another one we did:

In this one i attempted to blend purple and blue along her eyelids.
Sorry you can't see it too well I didn't get a close up shot.

The Beginning

I have just started a make up course today!
I decided to start doing it to complement my Fashion degree I am doing and to save money when I need to take some photos of my designs worn by models (as well as learning how to make myself look incredible always!)
This is a blog to display the assessments I do and other make up things I come across as I do it. Hopefully it is as enjoyable for you as I'm sure it will be for me. I'm pretty excited about it!!

In preparation I've been poking around Youtube and watching some clips by pixiewoo and by michellephan. Look them up!! they are pretty amazing at what they do and they can show you how to do it. Perhaps later on I will use their videos as mini challenges for myself to complete those looks.

In the box I got from the academy there was a roll of brushes, four cases of make up, a tonne of reading materials, dvds, a resource cd, a book called "Get Positively Beautiful" and organisational software. So many presents!!!
